Bangalore is getting really hot the plants need more frequent watering. I haven’t added any new plants or propagations for a couple of months now. It’s mostly a result of moving in to a 1BHK. I actually had to downsize on my collection, and I’m going to continue to be more intentional about the plants I bring home. This video by Benji is got me thinking about how downsizing may actually be a good thing.
Everytime I think of adding something new to the house, say, a lamp - I’ve started going back to my Pinterest board and paying closer to attention to just lamps. I usually pin images just based on how they make me feel, and whether I’d like to actually live in them - and lesser attention to specific items that create the image. So it’s been nice to backtrack and be like, “in the interiors I find aspirational, what kind of lamps to people actually use?”. 9 out of 10 tiems, there is a common style that emerges. I can the go do an image search on Google. And 9 out of 10 times, the product is hilariously expensive, so I bookmark it and forget about it.
